Aerospace Resolver for highly precise angle measurements

Problem 1

A large aircraft supplier wanted a rotational angle sensor – an Aerospace Resolver – without a shaft seal for hydraulic actuator position feedback in the range of ±30°.

Problem 3

A large aircraft supplier sought a resolver for commutation of a PM motor with the highest possible Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF)

The Solution:

Using the solid-rotor Rotasyn resolver, Admotec developed this unique resolver with half the usual number of coils. This solved the reliability problem, resulting in a significantly safer system.
